The ASCENDE-RT study from Canada, is a randomized trial comparing the use of dose-escalated external beam radiation therapy (DE-EBRT) and low-dose-rate-brachytherapy (LDR-B) in men with intermediate- and high-risk prostate cancer.
The study involves a panel of experts from Australia, USA, UK, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Portugal & The Netherlands. They conducted a review of published studies between 2000–2015 involving over 52,000 men with localised prostate cancer.
